More Rushiverse WIP
I’ve continued to develop the various assets as part of the greater Rushiverse WIP. I had modeled all the album covers/vinyl and it occurred to me that there was significantly more there to explore. I had made various 3D assets for many of the albums and decided to approach it in chronological order.
So, this represents my creative riffing on the debut album. The album cover leaves quite a bit to the imagination as it’s just a logo and some hatched style lines that I think are supposed to indicate Rush exploding onto the scene. You need to use your imagination for that one.
Toronto Skyline
I thought that some of the elements that are quintessential Rush and would have been mostly contemporary to the time would be their home town of Toronto. So, that led to modeling some key points of interest for the city as well as for their career. These included Gasworks Club where they played some of their absolute earliest gigs, to Massey Hall which arguably was slightly after the debut came out, but I think they did play it before Fly By Night was released. I also included CN Tower as it’s inconic for that skyline and it was in the process of being built when their debut album was released.
