A note on the media page
After a bit of COVID soul searching, my philosophy on many things has changed or at least shifted. I broke away from most of social media, deleting my fb, twitter, ig, and reddit accounts. I still occasionally browse reddit, but it’s brief and mainly to see if there are any big stories under discussion. I never linger.
All that to say that I’ve tried to distill my daily efforts down to the truly important things that matter and stand the test of time. When it comes to my creative efforts, I’ll still be experimenting and making a lot of crap because I know that’s part of the process. I just won’t be posting every little interesting idea or experiment any longer. Not that it will be noticed. It’s just more important to me now to reject the immediate gratification and put my efforts towards the transcendent. I’ll fall short often, but I need to keep this as my target. So, on that note, I’ve deleted nearly all I’ve ever posted on this page including the YouTube uploads.
I kept my original Rock & Roll cover as a point of reference, and of all the songs I’ve written, right now “Christmas Armistice” is the only one I feel is worth posting. That said, I’ve already worked on a different version of it (that is on hold for many months) that I’ll eventually finish and post.
I may get back to more regular posting when I start writing more music, but as for now I’m going to keep my postings to a minimum.
